Columbus Day '08 Event Cancelled
Unfortunately, with the low number of RSVPs, we are unable to hold our Class of '96 event at Hillside Park Hall on Columbus Day weekend. Please check back for updates on future events.

Hello Class of 1996! We need your support to make our October 11th reunion get-together a success. At this point the RSVP is low - hoping that those of you who checked out the evite are still interested in attending. Adriane Leyman (Plotts) reports, "I graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College in May 2000. I married Michael Leyman in Sept. 2000. We have two boys, Noah 7 and Austin 4. Due to Mike being in the Coast Guard, we have moved a lot since we got married. We lived in Wilmington, DE, Seaville, NJ and Cape May, NJ before moving to WA." Living in Westport, WA she is a stay at home mom.
Living in Mount Olive, NJ, Angie Constantino (Medina) is a both a Child Life Specialist and student. She is a yoga lover and has enjoyed running 5Ks here and there. Angie reports, "Since 1996, I graduated from Rutgers University and I'm currently attending NYU for a MSW. I got married one year ago to an awesome guy over at the Lake Mohawk Country Club in good ol' Sparta. No kids just yet, but looking forward to having a few. I've been blessed to have had the opportunity to travel around Europe with one of my best friends. "
Alex Martin moved away from NJ a couple years after high school for college. He lived in TN for 10 yrs and SC for another 2 yrs; worked for GE as the Port Director for a couple of years and decided to start traveling rather than sitting in an office all day. Alex is currently traveling around the U.S. working in the Wind Turbine industry as QA/QC Inspector/Logistics. "Never got married and have no kids....just a dog with ADD......"
Currently living in West Caldwell, NJ, Christoper Pelletier works as a teacher, and in his spare time is involved in professional organizations, is a home brewer, reiki practitioner and personal trainer.Christopher is an active member of church as a vestryman and used to assist with the youth group. He enjoys hiking, camping if possible, golf and learning new things. If time allows, travel. "Still looking to skydive sometime this year or spring of 2009." Christopher went to Northern Arizona University for 1 academic year. He holds 3 teaching certificates and is looking to add a fourth. He's been active in his current and previous churches with mission trips, youth group and now on Vestry. He earned his Master's Degree in Education in 2007 (Walden University), Bachelors in 2001 (William Paterson University) in Exercise Physiology. He's currently in a relationship.
Christy (Pollison) Kovach lives in Andover, NJ. Since NHS, she went to East Stroudsburg University and earned degrees in regular and special education. Christy then earned a Master's Degree from Marygrove College. She got married and bought a house. Currently she is teaching special education in Sparta.
Dana (Harris) Best is a SAHM/Landlady and lives in Colonial Heights. Dana writes, "I accepted Jesus Christ into my life and since have been able to overcome many obstacles. HOWEVER, as Steve Harvey would say, 'Don't trip...he ain't though with me yet.' " In 2001 she graduated from college with a degree in mathematics. A year later, she married her college sweetheart. Due to the nature of her husband's employment, they travel often and will probably be overseas at the time of the reunion. Although she loves exploring new places and meeting new people, she looks forward to settling down and building their family home on their little ranch in the southwest. She has one son and recently was blessed with a daughter. Time-permitting, she is involved in church, bowling, independent film, and debating.
DeAnna Dippel (McDevitt) works as Registrar of Vital Statistics in Livingston, NJ and reports, "Since HS, I graduated from York College of PA with my BS in Recreation and Leisure. Ended up doing nothing with it though. Got married in May of 2005 and am currently expecting twin girls in December. My husbabnd and I are living in Sparta, NJ."
Dani Diklich, now in Andover, NJ, reports: "Hello, Hello! After NHS, I went to The Richard Stockton College of NJ for my Bachelors, then two weeks after completing my degree @ Stockton, I jumped to Monmouth Univ. for my Masters in Ed. After finishing my education at 24, I took some "me" time and traveled to 6 of the continents, skipping Antarctica. My travels include: China, Egypt, Thailand, Australia and Brazil, to name just a few. I also took time out to live in Guam, New Zealand and Ireland twice . After spending every penny in New Zealand, I returned to my roots and took a job at Green! I am not married, but dating a sweetheart. No kids, but I do love my dog Leo. I believe that life is an adventure, and the journey is the fun part. I may not be a wealthy girl, but I am a happy one!" Dani is a1st Grade Teacher @ "non other than, Green Hills School!- some of you may have heard of it?"
Eileen (Baldwin) Gray lives in Hopatcong, NJ and works at Medical Billing and is a Forum Moderator for Mymigraineconnection.com . She is involved with the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy. Eileen got married, moved to South Carolina, and then back to NJ.
Erin (Pelt) Foster lives in Jacksonville, FL and works as Human Resources at Moe's Southwest Grill. Erin was married in March of 2003 and had a baby girl in January of 2008.
Heidi (Grimm) deJager lives in Brick, NJ and works as an Assistant Director. She is involved with Animal Rights, Environmental Causes, PETA and The Vegan Society. She is a divorced mother of 2 girls, Madison 11 and Regan 4. Has a Boston Terrier named luC and 2 ferrets Dr. Deeds and Otis B. Driftwood. Heidi reports: " I work for the ARC of Ocean County overseeing the operation and management of 4 group homes for people with DD."
Jason Carpenter lives in Boston, MA as an Executive Chef. He reports, "In 1997 Kate and I got married and are still currently and actually happy. While waiting for the other shoe to drop we had 2 children who are now 5 and 6. They are, of course, unusually smart and good looking. We move around too much but managed to stay in VT long enough for me to get my BA in Culinary Arts at the New England Culinary Institute."
Jenny Guelich, currently living in Santa Cruz, CA, reports: "I moved to Lake Tahoe, CA in 2000 to follow my dream of moving west and to rediscover myself. While living in paradise for 6 years I indulged in all types of the outdoor wonders available at my fingertips. I have traveled all around the west and spent two months backpacking overseas. I finally settled into a relationship three years ago with a native Californian and we've been living together in Santa Cruz for 2 years now. There will be another move in my near future only the location has yet to be decided. Returned to school last year, after a 10 year hiatus, to finish my degree in accounting...." She is an Office Manager and Student.
Jessica Pekrul currently lives in Boise, ID and works as an Assistant Program Manager. "I have 2 boxer puppies, 2 cats and a horse. I recently just built my first home so most of my time is spent working and household improvements. I am currently in a serious relationship with a wonderful man who has two Dobermans so between the both of us we have enough to keep us busy."
Jessica Williams lives in New York, NY and works as a Curator of History at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. She completed her Master's Degree in Historic Preservation, then took a year off to wander around Asia.
Joe Sprofera lives in Manhattan Beach, CA as a Structural Dynamics Analyst at Northrop Grumman Space Technology. He tutors twice a week during the school year with a program for at-risk children in Venice, CA - primarily math, which is no surprise! He also volunteers in summer surf camps and various fund-raisers. Joe graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA in 2000 and moved down to Durham, NC to start graduate school at Duke. Eventually he moved to Norfolk, VA in order to complete his research at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA, and completed his PhD in mechanical engineering in June 2005. He then climbed on his motorcycle and rode from the East Coast to the West Coast, ending up in Manhattan Beach with a job in aerospace. Currently he's working as a lead dynamicist on The James Webb Space Telescope (launch date 2013). Joe reports, "other than a trip to Ireland in 2003, all my travels have been domestic, and primarily by motorcycle, seeing 38 of the lower 48 on the road. Otherwise, enjoying the single life in California with my dog (8-year old siberian husky), my bike, and the beach. Definitely couldn't ask for much more right now."
Karl Henrich currently lives in Westlake Village, CA and works as an Institutional Sales Trader. He has a baby girl due September 26th!
Kelli Williams lives in Lake Hiawatha, NJ and works as a Procurement Administrator at a construction management company in Parsippany, but is looking for something new. She ecently moved in with boyfriend of over 4 years, and hopefully will be getting married within the next year or so.
Kristi Hicok currently lives in Andover, NJ and works as a Special Education Teacher. She is Coordinator and Coach of Sparta Girls Sports Field Hockey.
Living in Brooklyn, NY, Kristine Marshall works as a Talent/Booking Agent. Kristine reports, "I attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I graduated with a "BA in BS" (i.e., Communications degree) and a minor in Music. I moved to NYC without a job, temped for a year, and then landed a job at ICM, where I'm currently a talent booking agent (for music and comedy), representing our roster of clients for most of the southeast."
Kristy (Witte) Hopf is a stay-at-home mom and Daisey Leader for her daughter Hailey in Middlesex, New Jersey. She taught Special Education at Franklin Elementary School and married a Police Officer in 2002. Kristy writes, "We have three wonderful children. Hailey is 6 , Chris Jr. is 3 years old, and McCartney is 2 years old. I have been able to stay home with them and will go back to teaching in a few years."
Kristi (Lehmer) Uber lives in California and is a stay-at-home mom and student. Since NHS, Kristi reports she "went to Temple U, joined the Air Force, learned Arabic, graduated from Bellevue U, got married, had a baby, living in CA and looking into Ph.D. programs for Clinical Psych."
Leanna Corpus currently lives in San Diego, CA. She works as a teacher and is involved with Women's Rugby.
Liesl Salameh (Podoll) is a Physical Therapist currently living in Montclair, NJ. Liesl reports, "I graduated with my masters degree in physical therapy in 2001. I met Gabriel Salameh (class of 1990) when I returned to Newton for my first job in 2001. We married in 2004, and expanded our family to include our daughter Amani in March of this year. Professionally, I received my Neurologic Clinical Specialist in Physical Therapy in 2006. I have been working at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in East & West Orange for the past 4 years. I am currently working only per diem and staying home with our daughter most of the time." She enjoys hiking, walking, enjoying life with her daughter and being a mom.
Lisa (Gates) Schuffenhauer currently lives in Netcong, NJ and works as a Counselor. She was married in August 2005 and had a baby girl in April 2008.
Matthew Murtagh lives in Newton and works as a printing assistant. He has been married 5 years and has two boys: Aidan, 4 and Keegan, 1.
Naomi Ture lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA and works as Senior Producer at KMVT Community TV. She just completed her first (and possibly only) marathon in August of 2008 and raised funds for her documentary on a woman living with leukemia. She's also involved in the Global Lives Project, immersive video installations of the daily lives of people around the world. Her other activities include Taiko drumming, traveling and hiking. Naomi is married to her college sweetheart.
Pam Riker is a director of a marathon training program. She moved to the DC area after graduating JMU, and lives with her boyfriend and dog in Arlington, VA. Pam is getting her Masters in Nutrition and Exercise Science with plans to start her own business in early 2009 - a fitness and wellness program for women. Pam enjoys running, biking and traveling.
Ray Biersbach lives in Great Neck, NY. He graduated from Columbia in 2000, then got a Masters from Villanova in 2002. Ray started the Manhattan Track Club a few years back and now mostly studies in the Stony Brook Library after beginning Med School. This year he will be getting married in a field overlooking Swartzwood Lake in June.
Robert Makulowich is a 7th Grade Math Teacher and lives in Weems, Virginia. Rob writes, "My wife, Adrienne, and I were married on October 21, 2007 at our home in Weems, VA. Karl Henrich was our "Best Man". I have recently changed careers accepting a Middle School Math teaching position."
Rob Miller is engaged to be married in May of 2009! Currently living in Palmyra, PA, he is a Purchasing/Product Support for TVC Communications. And his interests? "Steelers, Steelers, and Steelers!"
Samantha (Renwick) Macris currently lives in Spring Hill, FL and works as an Executive Administrative Assistant and Payroll Assistant. Samantha reports: " I love to work in my Organic garden, I am active in the Spring Hill Garden Club as well. I also donate my time to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. I was Married last March to a wonderful man (who would say any different thought huh? I am married to some asshole hehehe, I kid, I kid). No kids just yet. I do have a dog though, the same dog I had when I graduated High School actually, Smith-A-roo."
Sara Lundegard currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA as a Retail Manager and Screenwriter. Sara's activities include her "ability to shark most men at pool, sing horrible karaoke with the greatest sense of humility, outsmart the best with wittism and intelligence. And, if in doubt, a glass of wine answers most woes and confusion that may come across one's table..." Sara reports, "I have a love/hate relationship with my cat. I flew to Boston 4 years ago to proclaim my love for a man and, though that did not work out, now writing my trials and tribulations of that experience into a screenplay and wish to profit from my heartache. I am currently seeing a firefighter in Boise, Idaho, and, though it is only online, it is my most perfect relationship to date so far. Since you all last saw me, I know that I not only have grown smarter and wiser, but more attractive as well. Can't wait to see everyone!! And probably will be the only single girl at the party...But I'm ok with that!"
Stacey (Snyder) Mosley currently lives in Woodbridge, VA and is a mom of two kids - Patrick, age 3 1/2 and Avrie, age 1.
Stephanie (Guest) Williams currently lives in Montague, NJ. Stephanie says "I ended up marrying Phil Williams From Newton High...We have 2 kids together. Sarah (12) Philip(11)...We Divorced after 7 years...I am now with a great guy...We have been together for 6 years..And have our son Austin(4) And own our own business in construction.." Her kids are her life and her world. She also has 2 German Shepeards and 2 cats..
Steve Teitsma lives in Wantage, NJ, works as a Mortgage Broker, and enjoys anything outdoors. He is married to Melissa and has a daughter, Sofie, 2-years-old and a yellow lab.
Tara Fansler is a Fiber Assembler and involved in ACS - Relay For Life, Green Initiative, an Thorlabs Softball. After NHS she moved to Morristown, TN, got married, lived there for 10 yrs., got divorced and moved back to Newton, NJ where she is currently living and working.

Lisa (Gates) Schuffenhauer currently lives in Netcong, NJ and works as a Counselor. She was married in August 2005 and had a baby girl in April 2008.
Matthew Murtagh lives in Newton and works as a printing assistant. He has been married 5 years and has two boys: Aidan, 4 and Keegan, 1.
Naomi Ture lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA and works as Senior Producer at KMVT Community TV. She just completed her first (and possibly only) marathon in August of 2008 and raised funds for her documentary on a woman living with leukemia. She's also involved in the Global Lives Project, immersive video installations of the daily lives of people around the world. Her other activities include Taiko drumming, traveling and hiking. Naomi is married to her college sweetheart.
Pam Riker is a director of a marathon training program. She moved to the DC area after graduating JMU, and lives with her boyfriend and dog in Arlington, VA. Pam is getting her Masters in Nutrition and Exercise Science with plans to start her own business in early 2009 - a fitness and wellness program for women. Pam enjoys running, biking and traveling.
Ray Biersbach lives in Great Neck, NY. He graduated from Columbia in 2000, then got a Masters from Villanova in 2002. Ray started the Manhattan Track Club a few years back and now mostly studies in the Stony Brook Library after beginning Med School. This year he will be getting married in a field overlooking Swartzwood Lake in June.
Robert Makulowich is a 7th Grade Math Teacher and lives in Weems, Virginia. Rob writes, "My wife, Adrienne, and I were married on October 21, 2007 at our home in Weems, VA. Karl Henrich was our "Best Man". I have recently changed careers accepting a Middle School Math teaching position."
Rob Miller is engaged to be married in May of 2009! Currently living in Palmyra, PA, he is a Purchasing/Product Support for TVC Communications. And his interests? "Steelers, Steelers, and Steelers!"
Samantha (Renwick) Macris currently lives in Spring Hill, FL and works as an Executive Administrative Assistant and Payroll Assistant. Samantha reports: " I love to work in my Organic garden, I am active in the Spring Hill Garden Club as well. I also donate my time to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. I was Married last March to a wonderful man (who would say any different thought huh? I am married to some asshole hehehe, I kid, I kid). No kids just yet. I do have a dog though, the same dog I had when I graduated High School actually, Smith-A-roo."
Sara Lundegard currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA as a Retail Manager and Screenwriter. Sara's activities include her "ability to shark most men at pool, sing horrible karaoke with the greatest sense of humility, outsmart the best with wittism and intelligence. And, if in doubt, a glass of wine answers most woes and confusion that may come across one's table..." Sara reports, "I have a love/hate relationship with my cat. I flew to Boston 4 years ago to proclaim my love for a man and, though that did not work out, now writing my trials and tribulations of that experience into a screenplay and wish to profit from my heartache. I am currently seeing a firefighter in Boise, Idaho, and, though it is only online, it is my most perfect relationship to date so far. Since you all last saw me, I know that I not only have grown smarter and wiser, but more attractive as well. Can't wait to see everyone!! And probably will be the only single girl at the party...But I'm ok with that!"
Stacey (Snyder) Mosley currently lives in Woodbridge, VA and is a mom of two kids - Patrick, age 3 1/2 and Avrie, age 1.
Stephanie (Guest) Williams currently lives in Montague, NJ. Stephanie says "I ended up marrying Phil Williams From Newton High...We have 2 kids together. Sarah (12) Philip(11)...We Divorced after 7 years...I am now with a great guy...We have been together for 6 years..And have our son Austin(4) And own our own business in construction.." Her kids are her life and her world. She also has 2 German Shepeards and 2 cats..
Steve Teitsma lives in Wantage, NJ, works as a Mortgage Broker, and enjoys anything outdoors. He is married to Melissa and has a daughter, Sofie, 2-years-old and a yellow lab.
Tara Fansler is a Fiber Assembler and involved in ACS - Relay For Life, Green Initiative, an Thorlabs Softball. After NHS she moved to Morristown, TN, got married, lived there for 10 yrs., got divorced and moved back to Newton, NJ where she is currently living and working.
